Who are the people behind those social media accounts?

We do our daily social media in-house. We use Frankel Interactive in Miami for our website. We use SoftZSolutions in India for search engine optimization.

What is your company’s social media strategy or goal?

Long Tail! We sell WiFi to multifamily apartment communities and hospitals. Large $200,000 contracts. We are in 28 states. If someone in Ohio wants WiFi as an amenity, we want to show up when they search on Google.

What are some of your social media best practices?

Post interesting industry articles on a consistent basis. Emails only once a week. Newsletter only twice a month. Be consistent but do not overdo it.

What types of posts do you get the most engagement from?

Twitter and LinkedIn. Infographics do very well.

On which social media platform do you get the most engagement from?

Twitter and LinkedIn.

How important is it for your employees to be involved in social media?

Very, but only on a corporate level. We monitor our website 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

What guidelines do you have for employees involved in social media to encourage them but to discourage inappropriate behavior?

We control all our postings in-house. We do not use our employee’s personal accounts.

What goals do you hope to achieve by participating in Social Madness?

Get new ideas and see how we are doing compared to others in our community. Always trying to learn.
